King's Kids opened it's doors in 2000 with a handful of kids needing before and/or after school child care, and has now grown to serving over 60 families having childcare needs for those children in grades Kindergarten through Sixth. Licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Human Services, King's Kids strives to provide an enriching, stimulating and fun environment for the children to explore their own creativity.
School Year Program
During the school year King’s Kids operating hours are
6:30-9:00 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Snack is provided after school for each child before activities begin such as crafts, games, and gym time everyday. Twice a month children participate in Project’s with a Purpose with TLC’s Christian Education Director. Space is also available for children to work on homework and the staff is available for questions.
Bussing is provided to and from the Center’s doors daily by the Tallmadge City Schools. Children are always greeted by a staff member and individually checked in to ensure a safe arrival.
Starting 2005-2006 King’s Kids is now offering care on teacher In-service days, conferences, NEOEA Day, and the first week of Winter Break. We also now offer Snow Day Insurance so parents have a place for their children on those days.
Summer Program
King’s Kids offers a summer of fun for children currently in kindergarten through 6th grade. The experienced staff always has fun activities planned for the children each day, Field Trips are every Wednesday and Water Days are every Tuesday and Friday here at the center in our spacious outdoor play area.
Flexible scheduling is offered to better suit parent’s needs; which means if your child needs care for 2 days one week, then 5 days the next week, then not at all the following week, you can schedule your child that way on our Summer Planning Calendar!!
