Thank you to everyone for your prayers, cards, food, rides, hugs and visits to Walt and me while he has been in the Cleveland Clinic.  He is making good progress and we hope he will be able to go into rehab soon.  Thank you also to my “family” on the mission trip in New Orleans for your words of support and love.  We cannot put into words how much your compassion means to us during this life changing event.  We know God is walking with us through this journey one day at a time.       – Walt &  Debbie Ruggles and Family

Looking Ahead …

Next Monday, July 12th, Wayne Schneider, Congregational Chair, and Pastor Zachrich will be guests of President Keischnick at the Synodical Convention in Houston, Texas, to receive a commendation on behalf of TLC for the renewed ministry we have experienced through the Transforming Congregations process.  To watch our church being honored ‘live’ via the web, go to www.LCMS.org and follow the links.  The presentation to TLC and to representatives of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Plantation, Florida, will be at 3:20 p.m.

Prayer-Walk: Part 2 - Please join us Wednesday, July 14th, 7:00 p.m., for our second prayer-walk through the community. The walk gives us an opportunity to see both the blessings and needs of those around us. The walk helps us formulate specific prayers for the people and issues that touch our community.  And, the fellowship of the group is unsurpassed.  All are welcome.  Please sign up by the mailboxes.

Coming August 29th: TLC’s annual church picnic, Maca Park, Pavillion 1

One of the highlights of each year is our annual picnic.  The food is plentiful and delicious.  The fellowship is tops.  The games are lots of fun.  There is something for everyone – including our friends and neighbors.  Save the date!

Leadership Training Course to begin in August!

A key component of our transforming congregation process is to train many men and women for leadership work on task forces and ministry teams.  A three week course is in the final planning stages.  The course is open to all.  Please prayerfully consider being part of the group so that you are equipped to help lead one of our vital ministries.  For encouragement (and a Biblical reminder please read Romans 12).
