Leadership Training Course to begin in August! A key component of our transforming congregation process is to train many men and women for leadership work on task forces and ministry teams (Youth, Education, Empty Nesters, etc).  A three-week course is in the final planning stages and is open to all.  Linda Weyandt and Sherry Kellar will be the primary instructors.  The course will provide an overview of how teams fit into TLC’s organization, leading small groups and the importance of co-leaders.  Please prayerfully consider being part of the group so that you are equipped to help lead one of our vital ministries.  For encouragement (and a Biblical reminder) please read Romans 12.  Dates & Times:  Wednesdays, August 11, 18, & 25; 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Questions?  Want more information?  Either send a reply email or call the church office (330-633-4775).  A sign-up sheet to register for the training class is by the church mailboxes.

“… every dollar we have is currently working for the kingdom of God …” When our treasurer, Dave Graybeal gave his report to the Board of Directors this past Monday evening, Dave reported that all of our bills are current, but that we have used all of our reserve fund in the course of the summer.  There is no additional money to be used should an unexpected need arise.  The message was sobering to the Board; who wants to be broke?  But, when looked at in the phrase of Mark Ruesch, Senior Elder, quoted above, there is good in the midst of bad.  We are still doing the work of God’s kingdom.  As you plan for your offering this week and in the weeks to come, please give as the Lord has blessed you.  Let your money also do the work of God’s kingdom.
